You’ll start your holiday in the village of San Vito Lo Capo on Sicily’s north coastline, that lies close to one of Italy’s most pristine coastal nature reserves, the Zingaro Natural Reserve. Marettimo, the most mountainous of the three so-called Egadi Islands just off the western coast and a walker’s paradise: cliff paths wind through Spanish broom and purple cistus to Saracen fortresses, Roman villas and coral lined sea grottoes and for the children, a long path on the back of the mules, an unforgettable experience. Then the Salt Pans in Marsala with the typical Wind Mills and winetasting along the way, an itinerary rich of colours and tastes.

1st day: Palermo – San Vito Lo Capo

Arrival at the airport in Palermo and private transfer to San Vito Lo Capo, fishermen village on on the most picturesque coastline of Sicily.

Your excursion will begin from the north income of the Zingaro Natural Reserve where a beautiful and suggestive walk will take us along the paths, with Mediterranean spot and charming groves. After many coves and wonderful panoramas, you will have the chance to have a bath. Come back to our accommodation in San Vito Lo Capo.

3rd day: Erice – Marettimo

After breakfast, departure for Erice, a wonderful medieval village on the top of a hill with its narrow streets and delicatessen shops, not to miss tasting the famous almond cakes. Then departure to Trapani where the ship will take you to the mysterious island of Marettimo.


4th day: Marettimo on the back of mules

Today, evocative excursion on the back of mules; the guide will carry us for about two hours along the path that starts from the village till reaching the Case Romane, fortress of Roman Age. In front of it we will see a charming little church of the Byzantine period (X c.) and together we will reach a panoramic point for the ones who loves birdwatching.

5th day: Marettimo

In the morning excursion on the island, a wonderful taste of the island through a panoramic walking from Punta Troia to the Castle, originally a watchtower made into a fortress in the 17C by the Spanish. Afternoon at disposal to discover and enjoy the beautiful beach of Marettimo or doing a minitour by boat with a local fisherman around the island to see the unapproachable coasts.

6th day:Marettimo – Marsala Wine Tasting – Trapani

In the morning, departure with the hydrofoil. Later we will go on towards the town of Marsala, we will admire the Salt Pans and the magnificent Wind Mills to continue on for a wine tasting in one of the many famous canteen. We will then reach Trapani area for the accommodation.

7th day: Monte Cofano Riserve
